Capizzi MD
Marketing Coordinator
Nov 2020 – Nov 2022
Capizzi MD Cosmetic Surgery & Medspa is a private plastic surgery practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. After training at the world’s most renowned educational institutions, including the world-class Mayo Clinic, Dr. Peter Capizzi became double board-certified in both general and plastic surgery by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I began my career with Dr. Capizzi by learning the ins and outs of the practice as the Front Office Manager. I facilitated each patient’s visit to the practice, from the initial inquiry to ensuring their return.
From there, I began to take on social media and writing weekly blogs for the website. This progressed into analyzing website traffic trends monthly and developing content for future marketing campaigns. I wrote and edited all online content, making scientific jargon accessible to a wide audience. Working closely with the Operations Manager, I planned, wrote, and edited quarterly marketing materials, both in print and digital formats. I am especially proud of how I coordinated with third-party vendors to develop brand voice through styled photoshoots, to design custom merchandise, and to direct video campaigns.
Weddings Magazine
Copywriter and Social Media Manager
Apr 2018 – July 2020
Weddings Magazine was a Raleigh-based publication showcasing wedding trends and vendors across North Carolina. As a senior in college, I began working with editor Robyn Mangrum on blog posts to highlight preferred vendors and to optimize the website’s SEO. This allowed me become comfortable with WordPress and honed the skills I had learned in college.
Apart from crafting compelling real-wedding blogs, I attended events on behalf of the magazine to capture content for social media campaigns. This involved collaborating with clients and potential new advertisers. As the social media manager, I cultivated and maintained relationships with target clients and consumers.
